Personal information provided to us via this website is treated in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988. We make the online levy payment service website available in accordance with the Marine Navigation Levy Collection Act 1989; the Marine Navigation (Regulatory Functions) Levy Collection Act 1991; and the Protection of the Sea (Shipping Levy Collection) Act 1981 (“the Levy Collection Acts”).

AMSA will keep a record of all completed transactions and information entered for receipting purposes to ensure compliance with Commonwealth record-keeping requirements.

Use and disclosure of information

As a Collector under the Levy Collection Acts, we provide this service to assist you to pay levies via use of an online payment gateway and automated issuing of receipts.

A law enforcement agency or other body may exercise its legal authority to inspect our records or our internet service provider's logs.

We will also disclose certain aspects of your personal information to our bank, Westpac and also to the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service regarding payment processing and the issue of receipts.
